Welcome to the world of bamboo! This website is dedicated to a movement which consist of individuals known as the "Bu People" who have dedicated their lives and passion to bamboo.
We have embarked on a journey to shed a different light on bamboo or bambu and how it can play an important part in bringing about positive sustainablilty to both the environment and mankind.
Our mission statement is to be a catalyst to encourage the growth and use of bamboo in diverse areas. In so doing we hope to provide definite solutions toward issues confronting our environment, biodiversity and global communities.
Bupeople involvement and knowledge in bamboo plantation has allowed us to venture into the development of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) to spur investments and research in GHG emission reduction technologies for the developing countries. The objective is to generate meaningful projects which will lead to actual quantified emission reductions that can be traded with develop countries that have committed through the Kyoto Protocol to reduce their emissions by a certain percentage.
